Jordan Kosek, Managing Director, marked seventeen years with the firm. The film is a short record of the firm as it stands - the offices, the work and the people.
Seventeen years covers most of the firm's story. APD Global was established in Perth in 1999 - a specialist engineering house for high-voltage design, transmission tower design, 500 kV work, grid connection and power system studies. Today that house counts around 1,000 engineers and specialists across fifteen locations, with more than 15,000 projects delivered and every discipline in-house - primary, secondary, protection, automation, telecoms, civil and structural, and power systems studies - from early concept to commissioned asset.
The map has widened across those years. Appointment to Transpower's Lines Full Design Panel in April 2024 put the bench on New Zealand's national grid. Rome and Milan opened in April 2025 - Via Veneto and Corso Europa - a working European engineering team rather than a sales office. Kuala Lumpur works with Malaysia's regulator and national utility, Singapore sits alongside it in South-East Asia, and North America is coming soon.
Closer to home, the APD Global mark stands with the West Coast Eagles as Premier Partner and on the back of the Perth Glory kits as Platinum Partner - the firm present in the cities it works in.
The film itself is deliberately modest: not a retrospective, just a short record of the offices, the work and the people, as the firm stands today - twenty-seven years after it was established in Perth. Made in Australia, built for the world.
