APD Global’s Role in SIPS Control
APD were appointed as the Independent Engineer for Primary, Secondary and Automation. The role spanned across all design reports, drawings, test & commissioning plans, site visits and live witnessing of tests, as well as SIPS Logic Review and Design.
Laboratory Testing was performed in Transgrid’s Newcastle Protection Lab, with a Testing & Commissioning staged process undertaken, for each individual site, component and protection controller. APD’s provided engineering expertise, ensured the scheme design worked, bringing innovation and resilience to every step.
