On 6 August 2026 APD Global joined Beyond the Pitch - Connecting Western Australia and Italy, a business forum convened by Invest and Trade Western Australia, part of the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification, during Calcio Italiano. The Premier and the Deputy Premier addressed the room. A panel of experts, including APD Global’s Managing Director, formed part of the industry panel with Webuild and NHOA Energy - a Western Australian engineering house already working in Italy, alongside Italian companies now working in Australia. One table. Both directions.
The work is the same on both sides of that table: high-voltage design, grid connection and the studies that get plant on the network.
APD Global arrived at that table with an operation already on the ground. The firm opened in Italy in April 2025 - Via Veneto in Rome, then Corso Europa in Milan - a working European engineering team rather than a sales office, led by Country Director William Peasland. Italy's accelerating investment in transmission, offshore wind and grid modernisation is exactly the work APD Global has delivered for 27 years in Australia and New Zealand.
