2025 in review.

A year of offices, delivery and the people who carried the work. The film is the wrap APD Global published at the end of 2025.

December 2025

The year closed with new rooms in the network, more high-voltage work on the books, and the same specialist house that started in Perth in 1999. This is the film APD Global published as the wrap for 2025.

The rooms first. APD Global opened in Italy in 2025 - Via Veneto in Rome in April, then Corso Europa in Milan in September - a working European engineering team for high-voltage design, grid connection and power system studies, led by Country Director William Peasland.

Delivery carried through the year. The independent engineer story on the Waratah Super Battery - 1,400 MWh, with a System Integrity Protection Scheme across 28 critical sites - was published in August. Glenellen and Carwarp, 200 MW and 150 MW, went through AEMO connection and registration in November. The HumeLink West VTL medium-tension tower reached prototype assembly in China with UGL and Transgrid in December. And in May, equipment was flown by helicopter into Mount Lawson, one of Victoria's most remote emergency radio sites, on the Digital Radio Uplift Program.

Recognition followed the work: the Bunning Lake 132 kV GIS was named a finalist in the 2025 Bentley Going Digital Awards for Transmission and Distribution.

Further afield, APD Space launched Quokkanaut on a HAPS balloon to 35 km from Northam Airport before IAC 2025 in Sydney, and the executive team met the Chief Executive Officer of Tenaga Nasional Berhad in Kuala Lumpur in November.

In the cities the firm works in: Premier Partner of the West Coast Eagles from March, Platinum Partner of Perth Glory from October - the APD Global mark on the back of the men's and women's kits.
