The Square Kilometre Array is two telescopes: SKA-Low in Western Australia and SKA-Mid in South Africa. SKA-Low sits in the Murchison - one of the quietest radio sites on Earth - about 400 kilometres north-east of Geraldton. The antennas are a space instrument. The power that feeds them is a grid job.

APD Global’s published work on that site is the HV submission for the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory: network modelling, load-flow and fault studies, protection settings, CDEGS earthing, and current-injection testing for Horizon Power. The film is the same bench talking about the studies that keep radio loads and power-electronic plant off the array’s resonant frequency.

That is the mix. Not a satellite. The terrestrial plant under a telescope that will listen for decades.
