APD Global is delivering this project greenfield - from site acquisition and design, through construction, integration and commissioning. The tower itself is powered by a hybrid solar solution paired with radio transmission, engineered to keep the site reliably on-air without a grid connection.
It's a good snapshot of what regional telecommunications infrastructure actually takes: sites like this aren't always straightforward builds, and off-grid power is often the difference between a project being viable or not.
The outcome, though, is simple - better mobile coverage for the Esperance region, and better access to the emergency services, healthcare and connectivity that come with it.
What APD Global delivered
- Site acquisition and greenfield design for a 60 m telecommunications tower
- Off-grid hybrid solar power engineering - no grid connection required
- Construction, integration and commissioning, end-to-end under one EPC scope
The same delivery model runs through APD's EPC & EPCM practice and telecommunications design and construct - one house from the first site visit to on-air.
