Bunning Lake 132 kV GIS.

Western Power. A new gas-insulated substation designed as a digital twin - then rebuilt as a physical scale model so the yard can be walked on a table.

The film. Scale model first, then the 3D twin of the same GIS yard.

AlsoSecondary electrical equipment at the existing Sutherland Street substation

APD designed the new Bunning Lake substation and the secondary works back at Sutherland Street. Reality modelling and a connected 3D environment kept civil, structural and electrical in one model, so the conversation with Western Power happened in the twin - not in a drawing pack handed over the fence.

The successful design was then replicated as a physical scale model. Same plant, same walls, same access. That is the film. It is how a GIS yard gets explained to people who will never put a headset on.
